The Stages Involved in a Digital Marketing Campaign

SOSTAC is a marketing model developed by PR Smith in the 1990's. SOSTAC contains a general marketing strategy which can be applied in various commercial situations. It is an extension of the SWOT analysis, which helps businesses get ready for marketing campaigns, the main difference is that SOSTAC focuses more on the implementation stages of the process and on the marketing communications.
SOSTAC is an acronym for the following:
Situation - Where are we now? Assesses where the business is currently.
Objectives - Where do we want to be? Sets goals and objectives for the business.
Strategy - How do we get there? An overview of how to achieve these objectives.
Tactics - How exactly do we get there? The detailed approach of how to achieve the business goals
Action - What is our plan? Who does what and when do they do it?
Control - Did we get there? Establishes how the process is monitored.
